Tim Swarr, ESQ.
Tim Swarr grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in a family of eight children.
After college, Tim attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He there received the Ronald D. Ecker Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement in Client Counseling. He also twice received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, which are given to the highest scoring student in every class each semester. As a law student, he benefited as a recipient of the Arthur J. Murphy, Jr. Scholarship and Edward A. and Charles S. Perlow Scholarship Fund.
At law school, Tim additionally competed in numerous competitions, including the New York City Bar National Moot Court Competition, the ABA Client Counseling Competition, and the Murray S. Love Mock Trial Competition. He was the 1st place finisher of the Pitt Law Internal Appellate Moot Court Competition (Fall 2018). Each of these competitions increased Tim’s interest in pursuing a future in trial litigation and client advocacy.
Following law school, Tim quickly picked up work as a civil attorney in Northern Virginia. In pointing Tim toward his true passion as a personal injury attorney, this initial experience taught him close attention to detail, familiarity with court procedure, and the importance of consistent communication with clients.
At Cannella & O’Neal, Tim works with a wide variety of auto and trucking cases. He enjoys all aspects of the case process: from initial input to settlement negotiations. Tim has a friendly, outgoing personality, and knows that the key to a successful case is close communication between attorney and client. As part of the Cannella & O’Neal team, Tim combines his skilled background and positive attitude to successfully pursue justice for the injured in and out of the courtroom.
Tim is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Virginia State Bar, and Charlottesville Albemarle Bar Association. Outside of his legal commitments, Tim keeps busy with his wife, his toddler son, and his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Stella, around their home in the Charlottesville area.
