    1. Should I See a Physician After the Accident?
Yes, you should seek immediate medical care for any serious impact or injury. Even in lesser impact cases and minor injuries, a prompt check-up is always a good idea for both you and your passengers. You could be injured and not know it right away. At least call your doctor or another health care provider for help in deciding what your medical needs may be.

    2. How Soon After an Accident Should I Hire an Attorney?
If you have been seriously injured or are unsure as to the outcome of your injury, then you should contact an experienced personal injury attorney at Cannella & O’Neal as soon as possible to advise you of your rights.

Additionally, there is a statute of limitations that requires you to file suit within a specific period of time, depending upon the circumstances of your case, or else you will be prohibited from obtaining any compensation for your injuries. By hiring a personal injury attorney at Cannella & O’Neal, we will be able to help keep your case within the statute of limitations.

    5. How Long Will it Take to Resolve My Case?
The answer to this question depends on the complexity of the case. In other words, the last thing we want to do is resolve the case while our client is still healing or does not have a good understanding of what their future medical condition will be. Every plaintiff’s lawyer’s fear is to allow the client to sign a release and then find out a short period of time thereafter that the client needs future surgery. Typically the average auto case, premises liability case, or any other type of general negligence case can be resolved within 2-4 months of your release from the doctor. Naturally, that time range is subject to fluctuation, depending upon the facts of each case and whether or not you decide to go to court.
